Batlord, if you like old Destruction, you might enjoy Bestial Holocaust. Sort of a black thrash band.

I do actually. The later stuff was pretty sweet, but simple and raw generally sits better with me than something more complex.

And that is ****ing awesome. I'd say it sounds more like Darkthrone playing thrash. The vocals definitely have a Schmier quality to them though.

Hot death from the greatest death metal album of all time! :band:

I was listening to Buzzov*en's album, At A Loss, which is a great album and all, but I wasn't really paying too much attention, I just felt like some fun sludge metal to be in the background while I did my thing. Then, this came on. I had totally forgotten about it. One of the best Beatles covers of all time... and definitely in the top 10 of all metal Beatles covers I've heard (if I've even heard 10).

Classic speed metal Agent Steel. As Judas Priest meets thrash circa 1980s.

Have you listened to any newer Agent Steel? I couldn't quite get into their eighties material, but the modern stuff slays. Definitely one of the best reformed thrash bands these days.

Yes but I don't remember it that well, for that reason I'm listening to the whole discography again and should hear the new stuff in a couple of days.

Their sound is not for everybody I guess. It's kind of 1980s thrash meets Judas Priest meets Iron Maiden meets Kind Diamond. Musically I think they're great, a bit lacking in the vocals department and their first couple of albums didn't have great production.

@ lolpocalypse, that was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Deiphago, "Plague & Satan Triumphant"

I know why people call this Black Metal, but to my ears it sounds like grindcore.

Aborted are very hit or miss with me, but occasionally they do come up with a true gem. The Charles Manson sample at the beginning is pretty ace as well. Props on the album cover as well.
