Holy. ****.

I heard this song on Last.FM. I think I may need this album.

First time listening to Katatonia. Dead Letters doesn't scream out great. If you're a sucker for dreamy prog metal story like song this does fine. I quite like it. But not much else.

I've been on a doom metal binge lately. I'm working my way through Sleep and Electric Wizard, I think next I'll go with Trouble or Saint Vitus next.

Some decent Prog Metal I came across recently. I hate the term Prog Metal, reminds me of Dream Theater wankery which I don't listen to.

I could listen to this song all day. There really is no band that sounds quite like High On Fire.

Yes, more doom metal. Almost done with Electric Wizard.

I think that Kings of Metal might just be my favorite album at the moment. How can you not love the cheese? And it's catchier than Herpes, even more fun to catch, and even harder to get rid of.

Gave them a try again. Most of it sounds horrible. It's really Nu-Metal sounding despite being a death/doom metal band apparently. Lyrics are boring, singing is boring, composition is just boring.

Yeah their sound really has changed. Their 1997 album Brave Murder Day is pretty decent, it also features Mikael Akerfeldt on voacls too. There was a certian monotony to their 2009 album that I found enduring, but their latest release really didn't do anything for me, although the song you posted did end up on one of my metal 2012 mixes.

Anyhow here's what I'm listening to
