First Sleep, and then High on Fire? It isn't fair for Matt Pike to rule so ****ing much!
One of my all time fav Motorhead songs. Is it just me, or is the song "Ace of Spades" overrated? I mean, it's cool and all, but it's not really in the running for my favorite Motorhead song. Not even the best song on that album, which would be "The Hammer"

Basically, just about anything from Motorhead is awesome. Trying to compare Motorhead albums is like trying to compare a solid gold care with a car made of of 90% gold... they're both incredible. but one is slightly more incredible than the other.

Chanted vocals over repetitive drone/stoner riffs. Epicly drugged out awesomeness. Too bad they're sorta new age hippie types who consider their music to be "spiritual" and have song titles like "Unitive Knowledge of the Godhead". Yeah, they definitely sound like acid casualties.

Seven Steps to the Green Door - The ? Book. Wow. A seemingly run of the mill 70's inspired Hard Rock Prog album runs off into all sorts of directions including death growls, Sax Jazz and Ambient vocal passages. I love it when an album constantly surprises me but still has cohesion. Anteater and Tore would love this I hope!

Somewhere between High on Fire and Holy Mountain era Sleep, we have The Sword (or at least on their debut album). They are more tongue-in-cheek, and obviously don't take themselves too seriously, but who cares, when they churn out about as many catchy but heavy-as-**** riffs as a Danzig album.

Thank god I gave these guys another chance. Over the Under didn't really grab me, but NOLA is sick as ****. I mean the riff on this song is truly class.
