Went to this last night. Fallen Fate were the local support. They were good enough at what they do, but not really my kind of thing. Gama Bomb I was impressed with. I don't know what their albums are like cause I'm yet to check them out (just odd tracks) but a good live band. They play fun thrash metal, which is risky. You know what you're in for when their t shirts, and logo, are modelled on The Evil Dead and the guitarist is wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t shirt. Geek metal. Onslaught were fantastic. Thanks to Jackhammer for recommending their new album cause I doubt I would have added it to my library otherwise. They were obviously promoting the new album but I got the impression they are quite proud of it too and so hearing it beforehand helped me to enjoy the show a lot more, as they played quite a lot of it. It really does stack up to their 80s stuff very well. |

I can't stand Gamma Bomb. They could not possibly sound more generic than they already do. They're obviously just in it for the ironic thrill, and are probably just as baffled as I am that they got a record deal.

I can only judge them as a live band. If I check some albums out then I may file them away in the same folder as a lot of more modern, bland thrash around, such as Evile as Municipal Waste.
Municipal Waste were a good live band too. |

Evile at least sound good. They may be generic, but I can still get a good headbang out of it. Gamma Bomb just sound terrible on record.

Damn, I hate to say it but on first glance that read as 'Disneyland' to me... no clue why.

Glad you enjoyed Onslaught Mojo!
I have been asked to go this one nighter in Germany December time: Sepultura Exodus Destruction Heathen Mortal Sin The gig itself is around £22 which is a fantastic price but a round trip of around 3 days with all that travel just after Christmas is something I can't really justify especially as Killing Joke are on my Radar in March in the U.K but a great chance to see the elusive Heathen and Destruction are missing off my Thrash list. Sepultura are a major draw back though as it isn't really Sepultura at all is it?
