Overkill is my favorite thrash band.

Vektor has to be the best modern thrash band. Even if they're not your favorite. So many bands recycle older riffs and stuff, and never innovate. Vektor slays. Havok's another good one.

I don't really care about the distinction between thrash and early death metal. After a time they obviously became separate, but is it really important whether Scream Bloody Gore was thrash or death metal? Massacra works as a death metal or thrash metal band for me.

Yeah, but "Enjoy the Violence" was released in 1991, by that time Death Metal had an indentity. But I think Massacra can be placed in both.. Death/Thrash is a style to itself, but I think each band who plays it has leanings more towards one or the other, Massacra leans more towards the Death Metal side to me. That is what I was saying.

Sacrifice are a great thrash band from Canada. Not even listed on the wikipedia page for Canadian Thrash Metal.. sadly. Should be right at the top.

Hey! Anthrax were awesome. Spreading the Disease, Among the Living, and Persistence of Time were amazing.

i can't stand Belladonna's voice

I like Sound of White Noise with that ex-Armored Saint guy

edit - I find Suicidal Tendencies to be quite meh as well, though I used to like them

Didn't really like either of those songs at all, so I'm going to have to disagree with you on how good it is.
