Perhaps too many obscure bands. Back when I was thinking up the Metal Album War with Devastation, I sort of had a problem figuring out which band was which. People need to think up more original band names. Devastation is NOT clever or original.

Funny you should mention that, because when you picked that battle, I thought I already knew Devastation and some of their albums, I quickly realized I hadn`t and had actually mixed them up with the German band Destruction.

while making Metallica the joke they are now.

But it did a piss poor job with that, because metal has never been on mainstream radio.

ahhhh, his comment must have been deleted cause of spamming. some n00b said that Metallica's Black Album is best metal album of all-time cause it made metal a mainstream success and opened the door for metal bands on mainstream radio.
