Yeah, I would be voting on all of them, but work has taken over my life. But done for a bit after tomorrow possibly, so may be back on track and ready to vote on some albums soon.

Eh, I've been trying to get back involved. I've already listened to the Sigh album, I just need to check out the other one. I should have my $0.02 ready tomorrow if that's cool.

Alrighty... I've given both albums a listen and I have to say that unfortunately I wasn't a fan of either, which is a pity since I was really looking forward to both. The Solefald album had some potential I guess but whatever was there was completely spoiled by the vocals, which I was really not a fan of. The Sigh album is the type of thing that sounds great on paper—and I'm generally a sucker for genre mish-mash style music—but turned out very underwhelming in execution. The instrumentation was at times interesting but I felt that the songs themselves were pretty weak.
I guess my vote goes to Sigh for having a few more interesting ideas, but it's not a very enthusiastic vote. Sigh - 3 Solefald - 0 |
