ok, i got Leviathan
yup, much better than Remission, has a more 'core sound, the singing's better, the riffs more well thought-out, there is also a prog-theme running throughout, love it |

Ok Baroness win that battle 6:3. Next up this three-way thrash battle thanks to Batlord. I`m guessing that few people will have heard all three of these albums, so now is a good time to give them a listen.

oh, I have not heard the Devastation album, downloading now. But that Morbid Saint album is brilliant, as is the Sadus album, but out of these those 2 I am leaning more towards Morbid Saint... will cast my vote when i listen to all 3 of them soon.

Sadus and Morbid Saint are pretty ****ing ace, but I've got to go with Idolotry by Devastation. It's not the most groundbreaking album ever, but it does what it does almost perfectly. The mid-paced riffing just makes my neck want to snap off and the vocals are just absolutely perfect to me. It's just one of those achetypal thrash albums to me, like Bonded By Blood or Eternal Nightmare that just hits the nail perfectly on the head.
Devastation - 1 Sadus - 0 Morbid Saint - 0

Morbid Saint - 1
Devestation - 1 Sadus - 0 Listened to them all last night. While I liked the Devestation album, it just had more polish to it and seemed like out of the 3 it would be the easiest for any to get into. I like the 3 bands though, all good Thrash/Death. But that Morbid Saint album wins it for me, I like to aggression and rawness, behind it though is also some great riffs and intenseness that could have been in the Devestation album had it been a but more raw. Seems to me like Devestation is more influenced by Metallica, while Sadus and Morbid Saint have more of a Slayer influence. Sadus is amazing, Steve DiGiorgio is amazing as always, they have him to their name... It is also fast, raw and intense. But in the end, I went with Morbid Saint.

don't worry. I am sure Disturbed vs. Korn vs. Coal Chamber will come up eventually.
