Well, the beauty is you only have to listen to the album once through out it all. You are not forced to listen to each album more than once.

My idea is more based on how at times an album can be poorly paired and stand no chance, so if the losers for example could be a better battle, pit them.

Your opinions on each album wont change, but it is kinda fun to see how 2 albums you may not like can go against each other, and see what you find better or worse.

Just an idea I am thinking of to keep it going for a tad bit longer.

Metal Wars doesn't often feature any power metal albums, therefore there haven't been too many epic battles.

As for this battle, it's almost an impossible choice really as these two albums are very special. In fact I found the choice easier between the Dio and Judas Priest albums easier than this one! Operation Mindcrime is easily the most accomplished thing Queensryche ever did and one of the most polished metal albums ever recorded, it really has everything that an epic album should have and sounds like Iron Maiden in almost every aspect. Powerslave though is something very special and ranks with Piece of Mind as their very best, probably just clips Piece of Mind. If it was Iron Maiden v Queensryche Iron Maiden would win hands down, but as this is album versus album then it's much harder. Had Operation Mindcrime come up against another Iron Maiden album it probably would've won, but it didn't so Powerslave wins.

Operation Mindcrime- 3
Powerslave- 2

I'm gonna need a little time on this one. I've never actually listened to Operation: Mindcrime before, and it would be unfair to compare an album that I'd only listened to once, with an album I've listened to countless times in the last decade. So, I'm gonna have to give it a few spins.

How can you have listened to Operation Mindcrime once? When you've never actually listened to it before.

Not really. I'd already listened to most of it when I posted that. Please stick to PowerPunisher with your gotcha posts, you cocktwat.

I would but his Slipknob thread has been closed down and he's not the brightest spark in the box either. So I thought I'd move more upmarket and start with you.
