Holy Diver - 3
British Steel - 5 It's been a good couple of years since I've listened to either of these albums, and I just couldn't get into Dio, he has the voice of a god no doubt but it just becomes too much sometimes. Priest for sure, pure kick your face metal. |

As much as I enjoy Holy Diver, both CD's which I own by the way, I have to give it to British Steel. It's a brilliant album with such classics like Metal Gods (drool), United and Living After Midnight. Absolutely classic in the realm of metal, even their lyrics scream it. Not to mention amazing guitar solos, that's what I love most about Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. I miss that about today's music.
Holy Diver is still fantastic, I love Rainbow in The Night and Gypsy. Holy Diver - 3 British Steel - 6

Well, I think we can call this a victory for Judas Priest..
So moving on to the next 2: I think I know where this one is going already, but here it goes anyway... vs.

They're clearly the more popular band overall and Powerslave is probably my favorite album of theirs but I'm going with Queensryche. Dude could sing in something like 8 octaves and my mid-80s walkman definitely saw a lot more action from Operation: Mindcrime. It was my adolescent generation's Tommy, er something like that. The first concept album that made sense to me. Queensrÿche: 1 Iron Maiden: 0

Wait, I thought it was supposed to be the winner of the first battle that went on to face Queensryche?
