I keep wanting to, but I have been busy, hoping someone would have stepped up and sent something to my inbox.

i procrastinated to much on them, and decided it wasn't good enough. I can't even make a compilation without revising it 20 times, haha.
But I have a PM now that will tide it over for a bit...

Ok. Getting one up here, which was suggested by the batlord (doesnt the bathory logo seriously look like this?),
4 albums, only 1 can survive. Let us start with the first 2 suggested: vs. He suggested one for old times sake... so here it is. 2 more to come when this is done, what are these 2? well, you will find out... in time.

British Steel was truly a landmark album in metal, here was an album by a heavy metal band that not only refuelled their career with the NWOBHM but also helped to make metal a huge commercial genre and they did this by kind of cutting ties with their 1970s material and recording an album that was consistently faster than what they'd done before, with singing and riffing to match. But the key ingredient on this album were those classic melodic hooks thus giving rise to the term 'pop metal' and this album imo along with Def Leppard's Pyromania are probably the two finest of this style.
Holy Diver is pure melodic metal with nary a hint of pop and on this album the songwriting, singing and playing are top notch and I'd rank this as one of the very best metal albums ever recorded. This album of the two always resonates better with me than British Steel but both albums are full of stellar classics. I think what tips it, is because Dio had so much power and passion in his voice when he sung and the music was built to showcase his voice to perfection. British Steel- 0 Holy Diver- 1

I love Judas Priest, but Dio ****ing rules. The music is just anthemic to the core, and Dio is just one of the finest vocalists in all of metal. He's not a poet, but he has this sort of simple yet profound quality to his lyrics. He comes across as the wise and benevolent father giving life lessons to his children. He seems to have been just like that in real life as well. In interviews he always comes across as a well spoken, down to earth, intelligent, and genuine. Why couldn't they have taken Varg instead?
British Steel - 0 Holy Diver - 2
