Certainly not even close to being the best female rock vocalist, but still my favorite

I always associate the Wilson sisters as being with "Heart" more so than as solo artist. That could be one reason they've not (until now) been mentioned. One of the best female rock band no doubt. And vocalist if so desired.
My vote is still for Patty Smyth & Annie Lennox. |

I cannot put Annie Lennox down as a rock vocalist and neither can I put Kate Bush down either. Nothing to do with their vocals at all but it's a whole different kettle of fish really and they are much more subtle and not genre specific.
