I would choose Stairway, but I love the complexity of Bohemian Rhapsody, and it's hard not to pick the driving song from Wayne's world.

WTF?
Never ate enough shrooms to enjoy Stairway to Heaven...or Led Zepplin really.

I'm not a Led Zep fan in general, but I did devote at least 5 years of my life to being Queen's biggest fan, so my choice is obvious.
Although I'd say that "The Prophet's Song" is way better than BoRhap.

I love the vocal solo on The Prophet's Song, I think that's what makes it my favourite off of Night at the Opera.

Without Stairway to Heaven there likely wouldn't be any Bohemian Rhapsody.
They're both crescendos, they both start out with soft vocal parts, tightens up with a drum part in the middle, then leads into a grungy break-out. Bohemian Rhapsody is cool for its vocal complexity. Stairway to Heaven is cool for its instrumental complexity. |
