Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

I remember the first time I met a friend of mine, we were discussing music, when we were finding out about each other's music tastes she said "Rock, glam metal and sometimes black metal" later on I found out that she thought that Black Sabbath was black metal, we still have an occasional laugh because of that.

On the other hand, have you guys listened to Nortt? That's some sick "Funeral black doom metal" (I think that it's going a bit far with the genre there :P ) I love how his music makes my blood feel cold in my veins. I definitely recommend anyone with an interest to doom and black metal to check out his albums, specially Ligfærd.

Cheers, I`ve made a note of these albums and I already know the Bathory album
No problem. I really can not stress enough how important it is to avoid some sort of myopic obsession with Scandinavian black metal in general, and Norwegian black metal in particular. This focus on norsecore benefits no one; it conveniently obfuscates the international origins of black metal, and resulted in a glut of copycat bands.

Take Mayhem as an example; an all right band, but no where near the quality of the mighty Sarco***o! Yet Sarco***o get overlooked, because their vocalist didn't become an hero.

^ Granted, I'm only slightly familiar with Sarca***o, but I think they're overlooked more because they're an entertaining but basically just noisy thrash/early black metal band that was more useful as an inspiration than for their actual music.

Bah! Why is entertaining, inspiring, and noisy thrash/early black metal a bad thing?!? INRI is a brilliant ****ing album! The riffs are quality, the drumming is ****ing insane, and - perhaps best of all - the album isn't chocked full of idiotic "ambient" pieces. It's a black metal album you can actually have fun listening to!

EDIT:

I present to you all, proof that Sarco***o are amazing:

I didn't say there was necessarily anything wrong with them. They just sorta seem like a stepping stone band for other bands to be inspired by and go on to better things.

Whats the opinion on here of Moonspell a Portuguese gothic black metal band, I`ve read that their debut is worth listening to, are they cheesy or are they actually worth listening to?
