I consider them more like industrial/groove metal. They are more industrial sounding then groove though.

I love all those bands but I wouldn`t put Chimaira into the same league as the others.

I`d say White Zombie were definitely far more groove based on the albums La Sexorcisto and Astro Creep 2000. Industrial/groove metal best describes Fear Factory.

Astro-Creep 2000 could be viewed as Industrial and Groove.

White Zombie are a band that have made a fair bit of changes over the years... Amazing how many times I hear people saying they think La Sexorcisto is their debut, despite the fact they had 2 full lengths, and 5 EP's out before that album. Starting as a Noise Rock band with hints of punk.

Really? I think White Zombie is the one that should be dropped

I'd have to go back and listen to Astro-Creep, all I can remember are the hits/singles, but The Age of Hell (Chimaira's newest) is pretty damned impressive for me at least. It's probably not your cup of tea, but consider it recommended.

Yeah, I mean "More Human Than Human" became an overused jingle for movie trailer and killed it... but that is not to sau it is a bad song, just one I would rather not hear amongst the White Zombie catalouge.

But it is still an album that I feel holds up from when I heard it when it was released til now. Just a good fun groove metal album that holds it own. Still one of my favorite Metal albums from the 90's mainstream stuff... Beat out by "Demanufacture" by Fear Factory (yeah, i will rep this album as being in the best of metal catagory).

But still, this song is brilliant...

Such a great kick off to an album.

as for hits from the album, best one was "Super-Charger Heaven". I think Astro-Creep 2000 is still great, heavy enough to keep ya listening, and filled with expolitation and a grindhouse like feeling of dirtiness. It set out to just feel like a musical equivilent to a Grind House movie experience and it did it well.
