That is because most members who primarily listen to Metal music find forums more conducive and current to this one which is more of a fleeting glimpse of the metal scene.

I have been listening to Metal for over 25 years and have only found a handful of bands in this forum that have been worth investigating.

Then lets turn it from being a fleeting glimpse into metal in to somewhere more essential and educational for the non believers! If we (metal fans who are currently on MB) increase our own activity in there, metal loving lurkers might be more inclined to sign up and stick around if they see some activity in the sections they want to talk about. More people that join would mean a more varied taste in metal bands, and I'd assume more chance of someone showing you something you want to listen to yourself.

I have tried that many times but there is only so many times I talk to fresh air.

To be honest, I don't mind the lack of trve kvlt metalheads on here. They make discussing other music impossible because they feel the need to trash it all the time.

Meh.

I listen to more country than I do metal, but metal is the only genre I feel comfortable discussing.

That being stated, I do enjoy how people who don't self-identify as "metalheads" are the only ones who post in this forum. As otherwise... it'd be rather depressing.
