Hahaha a couple of years ago, I listened to this one Kreator album every time I had a chance. My mom said that it was Satanist and haaateeeddd it. I couldn't say what album it was, it was burned for me by a friend of mine. Maybe if I listened to a couple, I'd be able to tell.

I've offered to send you some Kreator before. Keep up. :)

Did you? Haha. But this was before I knew you!
I was hardcore already.
Get like me.

I have been on a huge Kreator kick recently.

When I was growing up I hated Kreator and other European bands like Sodom and Destruction but over the last couple of years I have come to really appreciate them.

Their sound was so different from the American Thrash of the time and initially it sounded amateurish and poorly produced but this has actually benefited these bands in the long run. They still sound raw and retain a Punk/Hardcore aesthetic that many other bands dropped in favour of better production and more complex arrangements, which is understandable but years later it has aged those bands a lot more than many of their American counterparts.

Once you get past the low value production of (early) Kreator you can hear a band that smashed it completely and they are still going and making some damn fine records - Enemy Of God for example:

i just bought "Hordes of Chaos" and to say that this lit a fire up my ass is an understatement

will probably be getting the rest of their discog, and this is so even if the album I got is hardly one of their best (or as I've been told)

Always been a fan of Kreator. I voted for Extreme Aggression. It was the first I ever owned by the band

I absolutely worship their first four albums, then to a lesser extent Coma of Souls.
I guess I’ll be the first to cast a vote for Endless Pain, it’s just so primitive, vicious and violent and yes, in a lot of ways I actually find it more memorable than the also great PTK. I also love Ventor’s vocals.

Even the slower, more controlled moments are great
