I once read that Ginger Baker was considered to fill Bill Ward's shoes when Sabbath were setting up to record 13. I listen to that album now, and although there are some gems, I can only imagine what kind of beauty could have created if they'd decided to choose a more left field option than having Brad Wilk play a competent but disinteresting role in Rick Rubin's over-produced riff-gasm of a record.
Paranoid meets Disraeli Gears for 2013 could have been a beautiful blend of the psychedelic and the crushingly powerful. A remake of 70-72 was decent, but Black Cream's Master of Disraeli would have been unreal. I'd have even stuck Geezer on the bench and put Jack Bruce's beefy basslines in there instead to even up the sound and inspire Iommi to add more texture to his playing. Let Ozzy play with the harmonica on more tracks and really the feel the groove. Man.....imagine that..... Magic. Whole lotta magic - Cochise The Warriors

Nah, even Josh Homme is a better guitarist than Adam Jones. Dude gets too much cred. Dana Carey is great though.
