Best of Modern Metal.
 

Which band does the forum think is the best of modern metal? Consider modern to be mid-nineties to present, so that includes Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Trivium and other bands that fit into that era.

Mastodon, Buzzov*en, Kylesa, High On Fire, Sleep, Warbringer, Acid Bath, Eyehategod, Lamb Of God, Municpal Waste, Bison BC, Dark Castle, Unearthly Trance....... I'm gonna stop there because there are too many that I can name.

For myself I'd have to say Mastodon

I love High on Fire and Sleep and really, really need to get me some Bison BC.

Parkway Drive hands down

Nile, Decapitated and Portal. All three have taken steps to continue the progression of extreme Metal (and more accurately, are my three favourite Metal bands of the last 15 years lol)
