I don't find a lot of it to be all that angry to be honest, I just like the intensity. Which leads me to another entry in my little list...

As you might guess from the photo above, this not a band that takes themselves very seriously. They hail from Växjö, Sweden, which I think is one of the coolest looking place names ever, and are apparently considered a grindcore band. I say "apparently considered" because their take on grindcore sounds quite thrashy to me and is very, very lighthearted. If there's such a thing as partygrind, this is it.

Later Gorguts meets your standards; my favorite album of theirs in this style is "Obscura".

Of course, the style Gorguts is building off in that era has some rather obvious predecessors. Immolation's unique use of percussion, and the willingness to use odd time signatures in a firmly death metal context is a rather obvious nod to Atheist and Cynic. Although these bands don't meet all your requirements, if you're interested in the development of the style, they're critical.

In regards to cybergrind; Libido Airbag's "Rosebud Rhapsody" remains brilliant. Nemo have put out some great work, but it's a bitch to get ahold of. Prosthetic **** always get praise, but I find them to be... boring. Nunewhore Commando 666 can be fun if you're in the mood. Relapse Records actually released a compilation album covering many of these bands, it's called 'Drum Machinegun'.

Psyopus

Apparently the genre these guys belong to is mathcore. That's kind of a dumb name for the style but I guess it describes them pretty well as they are probably the most technical band I've posted in this thread so far. In terms of speed, precision, and overall kookiness Christopher Arp rates pretty highly among guitarists I've heard in my life. He must be pretty hard to keep up with because the rest of the band seems to have a pretty high turnover rate: they've gone through three drummers, two bassists and two singers over the course of only three albums and the rest of the "past members" list is even longer than that. At any rate, if you like your music frantic and staggeringly precise, these guys are worth your while.

This might qualify.

I'd say GridLink, Discordance Axis, Brazen Bull, and The Kill are pretty spastic.

Jans I just listened to that Psycho***ist song you posted on the first page. If I've ever heard something heavier I can't remember it. I love it.

Sorry I didn't see this post until just now. Glad you like it! Both of the albums I have by them are really great.

Well this thread is actually in the rock and metal section for a reason, but if you feel like posting some of those bands as a side note I say go for it. :)

Fourteen months is far too long for this thread to be dormant. So let me introduce a band I've been enjoying lately...

Inside the Beehive

I know almost nothing about these guys aside from the fact that they're from New Jersey and they kick ass. They haven't released much as far as I can tell but I have their EP Drink Bleach; Live Forever and it's pretty fantastic. I'd highly recommend checking them out, especially if you like stuff like PsyOpus or The Dillinger Escape Plan. Anyway, here's a sample:
