Oh sorry, you should invest in a bass intructional dvd. It should help you out alot.

What style are you learning to play? That would definately be relevant when choosing a video instructor.

I'm just looking to learn the basics, like how to make sense of what I'm playing and such. So whatever the most basic style is - I assume it's rock.

Oh, my - look at what I've started.

Roygbiv, maybe you should youTube some clips first, or go check out the bass thread for some ideas. I think a lot of people don't know technical terms when they're first starting out - many just don't admit it. I couldn't read music for awhile when I was teaching myself the piano and keyboard. It's been so long, though, since I've been without a keyboard or piano, that my skills have long weakened.

Anyway, back on topic:

Anyone see the Crack the Skye DVD?

Yes of course, although in my line of work, CO normally stand for commanding officer, as long as we can avoid the confusion lol.
