Great band really. I've got a copy of Sore somewhere in my cd tower and it's a beautiful angry meat grinder of a thing. Slurred riffs give most of their songs that quick tempo, definitely worth a listen for Bongzilla, Eyehategod fans.

Somehow don't think I'd survive a pit at one of their live shows.

Their shows in the 90's from what I heard were insane. I actually got to see them live this past summer which was amazing. It was a pretty intense show. Kirk is a great guy and a fun dude to chill with after and before the show.

He is writing some new **** for them and actually during their winter tour (ended a few weeks ago) they played a new song of their's.

With out question one of my favorite bands if not my favorite band.

Sore is a hell of an album. It is an angry as hell record that has amazing musicianship in it (I love the guitar tone and Kirk's pick slides are bad ass and Ashley Williamson is a hell of a drummer and that album showed his skill). ...At A Loss is a great follow up too. Honestly I love all their work.

Nice man! Imo they are the only band that combined punk and metal so well.

If you guys like this the Melvins did a whole lot of songs on an album called Ozma which are a lot like this. Youtube a couple like At a Crawl, Oven or Vile. Grimey punk infused sludge from their early days of 88 - 89

The Melvins are amazing. Check out Eyehategod and Acid Bath if you like them. I have so many sludge bands I could tell you to check out, but try those two out for now. If you like Buzzov*en you should like Eyehategod. Outlaw Order is another good one as well.
