Worst Metal Band Ever?

^^I don't like them that much, I'm no fan of power metal, but they were okay for that kinda thing - I still prefer Helloween

it's his choice to shut off a whole genre if he wants to without really exploring it. If he wants to be ignorant and say that all metal sucks based off of listening to a few bands also his choice/decision.

there are a few songs I like from the genre but it is usually when drunk with friends trying to sing in that operatic voice. other then that I am not a fan of it.

I agree its his choice, but without a degree of light analysis and thought, the whole concept of a music forum falls apart.

I can remember some time back on here, where somebody was complaining about the need for moderators! The answer quite correctly, was that without them, the whole forum would fall into anarchy!

Its much the same in this example, if everybody just posted random comments without the slightest bit of thought, you would end up with a music forum......literally about nothing!

Power metal, especially European power metal, is about as bad as metal can get! Saying that though, I can probably dig out some good albums by some of these power metal acts.

I agree with you but it's only one poster doing this. As you can see the rest of us are having a constructive discussion about the topic of the thread.

As far as power metal goes, I have a soft spot for it.

Also I don't think anyone would tell him that it isn't his decision whether to like metal or not, but that he should probably at least know enough to judge. When you're asked for examples of metal that you have listened to and you name three bands, one of which is Nirvana, then it suggests that he doesn't like the idea of metal.

Back on topic: Worst Metal band ever is WASP. I can't stand Blackie Lawless and i don't give two turds that he was friends with Ace Frehley, KISS blows also.
