Seems like majority of the worst metal bands on here are power metal bands. Have to say that I agree with this consensus, despite the fact that the north american metal bands were distinctly better than their european counterparts.

I dont know if they've been mentioned yet, but HIM are pretty much the most appalling metal band I've ever heard.
