When I used to post on Rollingstone.com regularly (they disbanded their discussion boards in 2004 never to replace it with anything like their old boards) I used to devote pages and pages, along with other posters to the unashamed, rampant criticism of Limp Bizkit.

God damnit what a terrible band... definitely gets my nod as one of the worst metal bands of all time.../

Korn is disgusting. them and Slpiknot and Limp Bizkit. There is nothing that pisses me off more than them. **** them.

also, the majority of power metal like, like SOnata Arctica

I have nothing against Korn - at least there is some sort of message, purpose to their music, and they definitely became more complex / interesting with each album. They do have a basic, recogniseable sound, but I think they are doing more interesting things than the Limp Bizkits of this world - whose main message included "getting nookie", getting pissed off for very little or no reason, or doing some sort of dance that is reminiscent of a modern version of the hokey pokey... anyone remember the song "Rollin'"?

I didn't know Limp Bizkit was considered metal, but if that's the case than they get my vote as one of the worst. Perhaps the fact that I couldn't even recognize it as such should be a telling sign.

Plus, Fred Durst is a douche.

I don't know if Nu Metal counts, haven't seen much of the previous replies posted, but I'd say out of the known-ones Linkin Park, cause not only they suck, they also have fans, and nothing hurts me more then listening to my friends singing along to "In the End".
btw I've seen a lot of hate for Slipknot in this forum, and really they are not that bad, it's just they mostly care about the image and the optical effect of their shows and videos, and that is what their fans are after as well imo. anw I'm not a fan, so I don't care...

For some reason, I just HATE Cannibal Corpse. As for Slipknot, they are okay. They aren't terrible.

As bad as Limp Bizkit are they're a Hell of a lot better than Rage Against The Machine.

I'm not a fan of either band, but I can't agree with that... as much as I really didn't get the whole RATM thing, their songs at least sounded like attempts at songwriting with a little bit more than a neanderthal mentality...

Limp Bizkit always struck me as the official "dumbing down" period of nineties rock music... when the sound of previous bands and artists of that era was taken and placed against cliche and idiotic lyrics with little or no dept to them whatsoever...

...and it feels like quite a slippery slope after that, unfortunately...
