Ok. Rod Stewart is not a metal singer!!!!!!!:bringit: and Ozzy definitley dosn't deserve to be in the top 10. And Freddy Mercury was great but not good enough for the top 10. There is a lot more I can say about this list but what do you think.

ThePhanastasio 01-19-2011 04:43 PM

Freddie Mercury is probably the best male vocalist of all time, period, so you're definitely smoking crack.

Granted, he's not really a "metal" singer - more arena / glam rock, but eh.

Neither are about half the rest of the list.

Queen Boo 01-19-2011 06:21 PM

Rod Stewart oh god

s_k 01-19-2011 06:25 PM

Hm, I feel like Ozzy deserves to be in the top 10. Black Sabbath did some brilliant stuff. But is it metal? I think not.

MC 1989 01-20-2011 11:57 AM

See thats what I mean. Most of them arn't even rock singers let alone metal.

i don't know...i mean isn't the big metal origins argument between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin

how can you have a list of the 100 greatest "metal" vocalist and NOT have Chris Barnes on there?

The Batlord 01-20-2011 12:24 PM

Fred Durst?! Fred Durst?!?!?!?! **** Fred Durst! I think that needs to be said again, so **** Fred Durst. Why is he on any list other than near the top of "Great Douchebags of the 20th Century" under Hitler and above Richard Nixon. I wipe my ass with better "vocalists" than Fred "****face" Durst.

Hit Parader is still in print? Wow.

OccultHawk 01-20-2011 01:06 PM

I would like a link to evidence that Hit Parader actually classifies this list of singers as 'metal' singers.

Screen13 01-20-2011 02:41 PM

It's Hit Parader...it does not mean much in my book for these kinds of things. Maybe Metal Maniacs, maybe Terrorizer, but certainly not a publication that has always been in my opinion a rack filler and nothing more.

someonecompletelyrandom 01-20-2011 03:06 PM

As much as I like Kurt Cobain's vocals, I wouldn't call him a metal singer either.
Are you sure this is a metal vocalist list?

Screen13 01-20-2011 03:41 PM

It's more of a Mainstream-sided definition of Metal and Rock from what I gather.

It was published in Nov. 2006.

sixpounder94 03-13-2011 05:54 PM

only about half the list were metal singers O.o
