Default for those familiar with both Bongzilla and Killdozer

There must be something good in the water in Madison.

I don't know. I really like both of these bands. Killdozers got the more traditional stoner metal/rock sound while Bongzilla brings a more sludgey/stonery sound to the table. While I like both a lot I will go with Bongzilla as I'm a big sludge fan a long with stoner.

For those unfamiliar with those two bands, how about telling us more.

both are good sludgy kind of dirty rock bands....Killdozer i think spenbt pretty much all their time releasing albums on Touch and Go....and lean towards that "sound" as in they have a bit of a "noise rock" shine to them
YouTube - Killdozer : 'The Pig Was Cool'

Bongzilla is straight forward sludge...much like eyehategod but rather than being addicted to heroin they just smoke a shit load of weed....and i mean a shit load....i had the pleasure of hanging out with these guys before a show in Baltimore sometime in 2002 and they (at that time a trio) smoked more weed than i've ever seen three people smoke at one sitting!.....their songs are usually a bit longer and follow the slow building, heavy as all hell you would expect from any self respective "southern lord" type of band
YouTube - Bongzilla - 666lb. Bongsession

my vote is for Bongzilla.....just heavy brooding and with a great sarcasm...plus they were incredible live

Okay, well you've just completely sold me on checking out both of them. I had heard the names before but had no idea what they sounded like.

I pick Bongzilla, love that filthy sludge sound. On a different point though I like Eyehategod over Bongzilla.

First of all: Yeah, everything bob. said about their sounds.
Janszoon: I wanna know your take on these two after you hear them. I imagine you preferring Killdozer for some reason.

I'm for Bongzilla

I've heard two Killdozer albums, Little Baby Buntin and Twelve Point Buck, and I remember they were really good. Never listened to Bongzilla, but going by this song bob posted I doubt I'd like it more than Killdozer. But, then again, I can't know that for sure until I give Bongzilla a chance.

Which album would you recommend for each band?
