kashmir is overrated

i have a hard time rating zeppelin songs as favorites because it's always changing

I give Zeppelin all the credit in the world but personally there's only about 15 songs I like by them(& I really like those tunes) but could care less about anything else by them

I used to love Zeppelin, but these i find myself getting bored by a lot of classic rock. Just about the only classic rock band I still really give a **** about is Queen. Their music is just so timeless.

I hate when they did that boogie woogie crap as well. Great list, but I prefer to pretend that stuff never happened. On the other hand, I totally disagree with Roy Harper and Black Country Woman- and Ramble On... That's gotta be in the top five best. I love LOVE LOVE that tune.

Yeah, I can understand everything on that list except Ramble On...

I admit that I pretty soon encountered difficulties in selecting the worst after the first three at the bottom, and started thinking in terms of least good instead. "Ramble on" for example is not that bad but I don't think it contains a whole lot either and I've never been much into that song. And I remember the first time I listened to "Presence" how disappointed I was (well past the first track of course), but even that one has a certain groove to it.

A top ten list of their best would be too hard for me to accomplish as they after all is one of my favourite bands of all time. "Achilles" would top the list though.

Perhaps you could have dug deeper into Coda. Plus, there's some of that old timey sounding crap on How the West Was Won that just annoys the hell out of me and then there's D'yer Mak'er.

Worst Zeppelin Song: The Crunge

makes me want to gouge my ears

I've had my share of digging deep into Zeppelin's catalogue, after all they are one of my all-time favourites although I hardly ever listen to them anymore. I think that at least half of "Coda" is very worthy, bar those tracks I listed here. I think for example that "Bonzo's Montreaux" is actually a much more groovy listen than "Moby D i c k" and tracks like "Ozone baby" and "Poor Tom" could have fitted well onto the regular albums. And as for "The crunge" and "D'yer mak'er", well they aren't exactly masterpieces but I think they're a whole lotta fun.

Solid list. I'm liking the exclusion of StH, not cause it's a bad song but the fact that it's severely overrated. On a separate note, I've been thinking of adding When the Levee breaks to my top 10, recently

Eh... when a song is completely reworked I personally don't see the harm in it. Hurt is definitely in my Cash top 10 and it's a cover.

I LOVE Immigrant Song. Also love Ramble on.

36 years ago tonight, I saw Led Zeppelin at the Nassau Coliseum. They did open with Rock and Roll. Kashmir was a highlight.
