A mellotron is a type of keyboard, so is a moog (sort of), but I don't think KC ever used one (moog) did they? Can ya give us an example of a song?
Oh are you saying when they did use a keyboard...? |

And i believe they have, im not completely sure if they used moog but Red does have some synthesizer on it. ELP's and Yes's music are very keyboard heavy. |

Dream Theater is the BEST band out there. Got into them recently and nothing can even touch these guys. Singer is awesome, bassist is awesome, guitarist is awesome, keyboardist is awesome, and drummer is...yet again, awesome! Their music plays on a variety of things. They use a variety of styles and integrate metal into every one of them. Their lyrics are more than great (songs like Disappear are just brilliant) and they do sing and play with emotion. Just look at the song Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence! Especially when they get into Goodnight Kiss it makes me cry every time. The Spirit Carries On is no less. They are five music GODS that clearly know what the hell they are doing. I don't understand those who hate them, and there are a lot that do. Why can't people appreciate this god-given band that came from heaven itself? It is incomprehensible to me!

Thankfully he's perma banned.
You should have been there that day. There was much rejoicing, there were fauns playing flutes, ewoks dancing, there was unicorns and rainbows. |

i have Images and Words and while i do think it's a fairly good album, some of their music seems a bit sterile and boring. plus they kind of overdo the whole soloing thing in my opinion.
