Generally speaking, the greatest records in the rock canon tend to be front-loaded - not necessarily because the rest of the album is weak, but because the opening 4, 5 or 6 songs are near perfect. The question is, what record/s have the strongest sets of album openers?
One that immediately springs to mind for me is Nevermind. The first 6 songs are such damn great tracks that you marvel at how Cobain managed to write them all in that short time. Discuss! |
