Lush - Ladykillers....still my favorite song from them...still in absolute love/lust with Miki...it's the hair

Primus - The Toys Go Winding Down....best song song ever from a band that only created great songs....if i ever get sentenced to death this is what i want playing when they kill me

The Sugarcubes - Hit....my other teenage boy crush...

Lemonheads - Into Your Arms.....i swear this thread is becoming a mix tape i made for some beautiful girl....that then turn into a Cure/Joy Division mixtape i made for myself

Swervedriver - Duel....this is nothing short than amazing

^^I have totally forgotten about Lemonheads...and how beautiful Evan Dando is

Here's more from me. Let's go to Paisley Underground for a moment. I love those bands and their special type of alternative rock mixed with psychedelia and folk.

The Dream Syndicate - 'Halloween' (The Days of Wine and Roses, 1982) This whole album is just perfect!

Thin White Rope - 'Wet Heart' (Moonhead, 1987) This song is killing me, that's all I have to say.

Rain Parade - 'This Can't Be Today' (Emergency Third Rail Power Trip, 1983) Beautiful

Opal - 'Soul Giver' (Happy Nightmare Baby, 1987) This is what Pink Floyd would sound like if they were an 80s alternative rock band. Interesting facts about Opal: the band was born from The Dream Syndicate and Rain Parade and later gave birth to Mazzy Star.

Thanks to Burning Down for posting the Pylon song. Hotdamn! I loved that band. I saw them in the 80s and they were a ferocious beast of a live band. Human Body was my favorite song by them & I've embedded it below.

The Bush Tetras were another band I absolutely adored and saw several times in the early 80s.

My favorite band of that era was Mission of Burma who I've seen live at least 150 times because I lived in Boston when they were gigging in local clubs around 5-10 times a month during 1980 & 1983. I saw every local show they ever did including their first & last ones. This video of Trem Two is from their last Boston show at ballroom of the Bradford Hotel in 1983.

Little late, but I gotta say for all the enthusiasm of page 1, page 2 was the end? Hahaha. Here's some things that didn't get attention in case more people swing by...

Silversun Pickups

Silversun Pickups - Three Seed <---click here

Highly recommend Three Seed as one of the best off the album, but oft not mentioned.

Ataxia
f. John Frusciante and friends...

Ataxia - Dust<--- click here

and I feel like I'm giving in
we've been drivin thru a desert
looking for a life to call our own

I push I pull the days go slow
into a void we filled with death
and noise that laughs falls off their
maps all cured of pain and doubts
in your little brain

something's coming sky is purple
dogs are howling to themselves
days are changing with the weather
like a rip tide could rip us away

I push I pull the days go slow
into a void we filled with death
and noise that laughs falls off their
maps all cured of pain and doubts
in your little brain

Well we could post virtually anything in here with a guitar. Here are a few ditties that I like.

Should have been bigger. They are British but don't sound like it at all.

I like her vocals even though they have been treated and the geek on drums adds minus cool points.

A classic with the lovely Katie Jane Garside (Queen Adreena).

I think we've talked about this before a while ago but it's great to see I'm not the only Daisy Chainsaw fan on here.
