Tool: My pick. I understand they are not popular with a number of folks here, and I think their pointless use of programmed "mood" music as filler between songs may be a part of this.

Radiohead: Ill admit I don't know much of them outside whats played on the Radio, but I recognize the talent and perhaps it is time to explore them a little more.

Deftones: Boring and montonous. The guys voice sounds the same in every song, which would not be so bad if you could understand him clearly...so instead what you have is a guy who sounds like he is singing the same vocals over and over again on different songs.

Rage Against the Machine: Granted Rap Rock has never done anything for me,butthe biggest problem for me is their "I hate everything authority". It gets boring after a while. Its like I half expect a police officer to tell them "Don't jump off that bridge" and they would jump off the bridge just to rebel against the system.......dudes, you need to chill out.

System of a Down: I like them, but honestly they are one of my "Little talent" guilty pleasures....what I mean is that they really are nothing groundbreaking artistically, but they please my loud-crunchy-guitars-screaming-vocals side.

A Perfect Circle: I Like Maynard, I like Tool, and while not quite as groundbreaking as Tool, I like APC.

Nine Inch Nails: Probably my number 2 choice after Tool. Again, another artist a bunch of people here don't get or don't like, but since I started out listening to hardcore Industrial music, Trent is the "commercial' face of one of my favorite genres.

No. When I say "Hardcore" I mean to distinguish from true Industrial and that crappy junk called "Techno" (a lot of people don't know the difference). When I say hardcore industrial I mean Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Numb, Chemlab, Sister Machine Gun, Prodigy, MInistry, etc. etc.

I know full well Fear Factory is a Metal (whether one choses to call it borderline Death Metal or what-not) that eventually infused an industrial like sound....thanks to Rhys Fulber of FLA ironically.

Radiohead would be my first choice. Tool is a distant second. Maybe NIN next.
