Good call, very subtle use there.

Heh. I actually completely changed that post because I realized it wasn't the song I was thinking of. I was actually looking for "Lust Chance". But anyway, as I changed my post to say, Last Rights and Too Dark Park are particularly great in the sampling department.

Haha, I was kind of wondering when playing it...where are the samples? I was expeting to hear a lot, then I realized you must have been appreciating the subtle use. I guess not!
Anyway, "Lust Chance", yes. Love the heavy breathing (porn?) samples. At least I think that's the track. Is that the one that had the John Candy "doh!" sample? At work and don't have the whole track at my disposal...just played the 30-sec clip on Amazon.

The John Candy one is on "Scrapyard" I think. |

Home and playing Lust Chance now...truly great. I love the sinister porn feel to it...and this sample, with the first part sounding like the woman is scared, then immediately horny.
"So what else do you want me to say? Hmm, what else?" And you're right about Scrapyard & John Candy. Not really a "doh" as much as a "ugh!" or something. This album is loaded with samples that are often far more subtle than the horror movie samples used in the earlier albums. Such good stuff. I need some acid.

Another band that I don't think has been mentioned, that is more "rock", is Sublime. Now I'm no longer that big a fan, but the album 40oz. to Freedom is pretty fun and uses some great samples on certain tracks.
"54-46 That's My Number / Ball and Chain" (Toots & The Maytals cover/adaptation) "Lets Go Get Stoned" ("damn...now lick my balls" + "I said suck the motherfucker you're biting it, shit!" )
