I would probably rank it third for the best of the debuts for me.

Show No Mercy > Kill 'em All > Killing Is My Business > Fistful of Metal
I thought Show No Mercy was abysmal.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

well, to each their own... but it does have "Black Magic" which is one of the best thrash songs of all-time (though the "Live Undead" version is superior to the album version)...

I have grown to love that album. My favorite era for Slayer is pre-"Reign in Blood". "Hell Awaits" in paticular and "Haunting the Chapel" EP..

I used to think it was quite poor as well, but I`ve listened to it a couple of times recently and now think its a decent album and I can see its huge influence. But of the four debut albums being listed here Kill Em All is in a different league to the others.

Kill Em All >>>Show No Mercy>Killing is My Business>>>Fistful of Metal.

Killing Is My Business is actually my favorite debut. It just has so much energy and venom in it. And the riff to "Killing Is My Business" is one of the sickest riffs of all time.

Killing Is My Business>>>Show No Mercy>>>Kill 'Em All>>>Fistful of Metal

Everybody seems to have a different favourite debut album here, but one things for certain and that`s Anthrax always being in last position.

I'd feel totally guilty if Scott Ian ever came to this site and started crying.

I've never understood why Anthrax was categorized with these other three bands. To me, there's simply no comparison. Anthrax is just not very good at all, while the other three bands are legendary and absolute gods in my opinion. I feel like it should be the Big Three instead.

Because they had the record sales to match the other three and they were also very groundbreaking with both their brand of thrash and also their image which some people overlook. Also Among the Living is one of the classic thrash albums.

No, should be Big 4 still... Just replace Anthrax with a more deserving band like Testament or Exodus.

Record sales does not equal talent, and I feel like the "Big 4" should indicate the four BEST thrash bands, and Anthrax should not be included in my opinion.
