I loved Sam's Town, still my favourite Killer's album. When we were young is a classic indie athem, Uncle Johnny is a great Oasis like rocker, The title track is a Great Bruce Springstein and read my mind is a great single. Hot Fuss is a great album after Sam's Town they've gone a bit downhill but still have a few great singles.

I think The Killers do better when they aren't ripping off Bruce Springsteen.
New song totally bites. It's the second coming of Brandon Flower's solo career. Although they sound like Duran Duran (most of the time), they act like Journey. And they might end going the way of Journey circa 1985 if they continue with this cruddy sound.

It becomes such a pity because they had potential and I thought once Hot Fuss came out they could just ignite. But no. That just didn't happened. I haven't had a chance to hear their new song yet.

Great band, great lyricist and melodists! Great shows! Terrible music videos (unfortunately)
The first album is a must have as well as Day & Age. Both are fantastic. Second album not so much but props to the boys for challenging themselves and risking it all. Maybe it didn't go well but they got 'Read My Mind' which is a must have! Best (underrated) tracks: 1. Everything Will Be Alright 2. The World We Live In 3. Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll (in case you've never heard it) |

Giving The Killers a listen again. It's been such a long time, and I figured i'd start with the album that I overplayed a lot; Hot Fuss
Say what you want about The Killers, but Hot Fuss had to be one of the best albums of my childhood. Especially with some familiar songs with Somebody Told Me and Mr. Brightside. I've heard a couple of good things about Day and Age and I didn't really have the best chance to give it a listen as I do now, so I may end up really liking it. |

Ohhhhhh The Killers! Pretty good, but a little too light for my liking. Mr. Brightside and When You Were Young are about the only songs of theirs I like, nevertheless, both are great songs.

I've heard When You Were Young and they seem pretty good. Just a little too light, as Bri said. For somebody who enjoys this kind of music, The Killers would be a great choice. I'm considering checking some more of their songs out.

I love the killers! Hot Fuss was one of my favorite albums as a child. And despite not liking their latest album at first, there are some decent tracks on it that've grown on me, especially Runaways and the title track..
Favorite Killers song would have to be Smile Like You Mean It. Also a fan of Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Spaceman, On Top, and All These Things That I've Done. Pretty much every song on the first album is memorable. ^^ I could never get into the Sam's Town album that much though. Maybe I'll have to try it again sometime. |
