A stretch? No chance, the guys an absolute genius. If he hadn't left so early Suede would have gone on to dominate the 90's! I'm sure I read you say in another thread that Noel Gallagher was a good guitarist! /facepalm

You're sure? I'm not. I don't particularly like Oasis.
Unless I said it a long time ago - things do change you know?
That said, I've never thought any members of Oasis were capable musicians. I just liked Noel as a songwriter, but I don't anymore.
I like Suede a substantial amount, and when I wrote that comment I didn't really like them at all.
I adore their S/T, though I've never been as taken with Dog Man Star.
I still think he's quite a good guitarist, but not fantastic.

So stop listening to the radio. I did, over 5 years ago when I got an iPod. While I agree that some of it is inescapable and permeates your daily life without your consent, I DO shut out what I can. It helps in preserving great (and consequently, overplayed) songs.

Long live Stairway to Heaven and Hotel California!

Any of Queen's hit songs. You know, the ones that aren't Bohemian Rhapsody or any of the decent Queen songs. The ones about Riding Bicycles, Being Champions, and Rocking You.

I am kind of shocked how many times they have "Fat Bottomed Girls" in rotation for most classic rock stations. Even if it's a shockingly decent song it's not something worth hearing 80 times in a lifetime.

Strange, I used to hear it every other song. Then again, I seriously probably have listened to that much classic rock radio for over a decade. When I was a child, I was practically raised on it, and heard that song like fifty thousand times. Hearing in my head again is actually kind of refreshing but at the time it was like "We get it" after the thousandth listen.

I'd also like to tack on anything Eagles/Walsh related.

Which could be only one song, and in that be any and every Nickelback song:

YouTube - All Nickelback songs sound the SAME

...urg, I feel dirty for attacking Nickelback knowing they're such an easy, and trendy target.
