The Eden House
Compromising members of Fields Of the Nephilim, Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson and various female vocalists such as Amandine Ferrari, Evi Vine and Julianne Regan (All About Eve) it's the sort of dense gothic tinged epic sound with sumptuous production, lots of atmosphere and banks of gentle reverb that you would expect when it's also produced by Andy Jackson (if you love Gilmours sound then this is a must).
Only one album thus far (Smoke Sound Mirrors). It is defiantly retro with a sound that reeks of the 80's but well worth a listen if you are into bands like The Mission, All About Eve, Fields Of The Nephilim and Pink Floyd. The vocals add a touch of class too. |
Funnily enough, I was only talking about and then listening to Fields Of the Nephilim with a flatmate last night over a few beers. First time I'd heard anything of them beyond the name, and I was pleasantly surprised by how I liked them. Judging by the song in the vid, this Eden House lot sound very impressive too. Never heard a peep of them before (evidently), but I'll definitely check them out very soon.

Anyway, I'll make sure to get back to this thread with a thought or two about the album (after an end-to-end listen or two) sometime over the next week. Cheers for the heads-up as well. |
I am downloading this now. Loved the live performance in the video, pretty much just hat Iv been looking for lately. A laid back psychedelic big band type of feeling.
