The Year of the Awesome Fest
so it seems to me like 2010 is a pretty incredible year for fest lineups. Roadburn might be the most amazing lineup i've ever seen, MDF is one of the better lineups they've had, Coachella looks good outside of some strange headliners, chaos in tejas is pretty sick
really, bonnaroo and scionfest 2 are the only lackluster lineups i've seen so far... and they aren't exactly garbage |

I was actually pretty impressed with the Bonnaroo line up this year. I'm considering swinging the $300+, but I really doubt it. I should have gone last year. But off the top of my head I'd really like to see Stevie Wonder, Tenacious D, Clutch (again), Isis, John Prine, GWAR (again), Les Claypool (again), The Black Keys, Dropkick Murphys, and The Melvins. That's more good **** than they usually have, in my opinion.
In other news, another poster from Myrtle? What's your name, man? I might know you.

when it comes to bonnaroo, i can't remember the year off the top of my head but it wasn't that long ago that the list of acts i would have loved to see was in the double digits... this year, its maybe 5-6
and the one i'd be most excited for is Steve Martin fronting the Steep Canyon Rangers |

Well, I just got back from Bonnaroo a couple days ago, exhausted and still in a haze that consisted of a mix of 4 days of severe heat and humidity, a **** ton of beer and liquor, more pot, hash and opium than I've smoked in a looooong time, a couple encounters with hallucinogens (saw GWAR on acid! **** yeah), and a couple of prescription amphetamines for the 12-hour drive home. All I can say is... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!
I managed to catch Damian Marley & Nas, Tenacious D, Rebelution, Isis, The Melvins, John Prine, Clutch, GWAR, Dropkick Murphys and Ween. I missed a couple of acts because I was either sleeping, or they were playing at the same time as somebody I was already watching. All in all it was totally worth it. Our neighbors in the RV camp were from So-Cal and Arizona, and we combined campsites and shared supplies. Couldn't have asked for better Bonnaroo neighbors. And with that, I'll leave you with a pic.
