Soundgarden reunion is official!!!!

I really don't care if they do another album, I just want to see them live, as I never have had the chance to before they split.

Anybody else excited!?

To be honest no.

ElephantSack 01-03-2010 02:42 PM

You better not be fuckin' around, son.

ElephantSack 01-03-2010 03:07 PM

Alright I just looked it up. You speak the troof. Awesome.

ok i'm effin excited...i listened to them like nonstop in high school and still put on badmotorfinger on occasion

never thought this would happen...and i hope chris cornell practices on those high notes because he can't really hit them anymore. i saw him play loud love with audioslave and it sounded like a freakin garbage disposal...not good not good

I don't think his voice will be an issue, seeing as how he hasn't been drinking or smoking like old times, but it probably won't sound as good as he did in the 80's, 90's.

I also wonder what will happen with the Matt Cameron/Pearl Jam situation, I would like to see him work with both bands.

i don't know whether to be gitty with excitment or plain ****ing horrified.

I really don't know what to make of this one. Their really early stuff is good, and Kim Thayil is an awesome guitarist, but jesus christ i can't stand Chris Cornell. I predict some patchy live shows and possibly even a bland, middle of the road album if the reunion is permanant, but if the money is looking good why wouldn't they resist a reformation?

Well who doesn't like money?

That's true, however his voice has already changed a significantly large amount. His solo stuff you can really hear the difference. Just the wear and tear of a long time screamer.
