alot of great music, yes.. but its not to my taste. some of the genres i like the most didnt exist until the late 90s. i do respect older artists obviously but my favourites are all around now. one of the things i look for in music is interesting music.. stuff i havent heard before, which is why i end up liking newer bands.

composition and innovation may have come fast in the 70s but it hasnt stopped and i dont think its slowed. the bands around now are building on, and mixing the ideas of the bands around then, and (in my opinion) improving them.

Slipknot Vol. 3 choice- Slipknot only had 2 albums come out after 2000,and Iowa is my least favoritre slipknot album, with "Slipknot" being my first, but because it was released in '99, couldnt pick that. Vol. 3 was ****ing amazing, i love that album.

Metallica St.Anger choice- ...worst metallica album...eh? thats how most people view it...well, think about it, if it wasnt by Metallica, it would be considered a amazing cd, but because it had so much to live up too...im not saying its the best metallica album (not even close) ...still its a great album in my opinion.

Arrow The Darkness - Permission To Land (2003).

What a great throwback and homage to 70s glam rock, bands like Bowie/Queen/T.Rex, (The Darkness 2000-2006) album: Permission To Land.

YouTube - The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love

1. Tool - Lateralus.

After that, too hard to put them in order, but -

Tool - 10000 Days
Mastodon - Crack the Skye
Radiohead - Kid A
APC - Mer de Noms
APC - Thirteenth Step
QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf
Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
Deftones - Deftones
Janes Addiction - Strays
Dave Navarro - Trust No One(forgotten gem)
Alice in Chains - Black gives way to blue
RCHP - Stadium Arcadium
Silversun Pickups - Swoon
Smashing Pumpkins - Machina, the Machines of god

There's several more, before going into outright metal, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
