alot of great music, yes.. but its not to my taste. some of the genres i like the most didnt exist until the late 90s. i do respect older artists obviously but my favourites are all around now. one of the things i look for in music is interesting music.. stuff i havent heard before, which is why i end up liking newer bands.
composition and innovation may have come fast in the 70s but it hasnt stopped and i dont think its slowed. the bands around now are building on, and mixing the ideas of the bands around then, and (in my opinion) improving them.

Metallica St.Anger choice- ...worst metallica album...eh? thats how most people view it...well, think about it, if it wasnt by Metallica, it would be considered a amazing cd, but because it had so much to live up too...im not saying its the best metallica album (not even close) ...still its a great album in my opinion.

The Darkness - Permission To Land (2003).
What a great throwback and homage to 70s glam rock, bands like Bowie/Queen/T.Rex, (The Darkness 2000-2006) album: Permission To Land.
