don't really like them that much

Red Album is okay

Blue Record is mediocre

i'd rather put on Neurosis

You're crazy. Quite simply out of your mind. Please seek immediate psychiatric care.

How is this not the most beautiful intro to a metal album ever made? Does it not evoke the rising of the sun or the blooming of a flower?

Both their full lengths are incredible and their EPs slay too. I'm eagerly awaiting the third full-length as well.

I think the Red Album is good. I've listened to it many times and probably will again.
I agree about the Blue one. Don't really need it since the Red one is the same but better.
And I definitely agree that Neurosis is altogether a better band but it's kind of unfair to hold youngsters to that standard. Baroness doesn't copy their sound all that much.

I personally think that the Blue Record is a fair bit better than the Red Album. It's more melodic and more focused.

I don't get the Neurosis comparison, but then again I'm not very familiar with Neurosis' body of work.

I have a very difficult time deciding which Baroness album is better. It pretty much comes down to "whichever one I heard last".

With baroness I have mixed feelings on which album is better. On and all, Red is more well rounded, and has less mediocre songs than Blue, but Blue also has their best songs in my opinion (War Wisdom Rhyme and O'er Hell and Hide come to mind)

I really can't imagine a situation wherein I'd put on Baroness; they're horribly, horribly boring. The riffs don't go anywhere... ever.
