German Bands

I am trying to make a cd with all German rock and punk songs on it. So far Ive got some Rammstein and some music from a highschool punk band in Germany. Does anyone know any other good German rock bands?

Id recommend Clusterbomb unit or Inner conflict, both have female vocalists.

Fenixpunk 02-02-2005 04:03 PM

Settle The Score
Rykers
Genossen
Ebola (from germany, also a band from UK called Ebola)

TheBig3 02-02-2005 09:27 PM

Throw 99 luftballons on that shiz. You know you want to.

Ha, I almost forgot about KMFDM. Good stuff.

dance0fdeath 02-03-2005 12:08 PM

woo, some of the best music i know comes from Germany, i'll just name a few bands that come to mind right away -
Edguy
Helloween
Blind Guardian
- not rock or punk, but i'll assume metal's allowed, as you already have Rammstein in there, and if you take the suggestion of KMFDM [as you should!]
i may think of more in a bit, anyways try these out cos they're bloody amazing.

Can, Neu , Faust

That concludes the voting from the Krautrock contingent

I forgot about Guano Apes, their CD kicked a little ass. Obviously open your eyes was good, but I was a fan of lord of the boards because it had that mediteranian guitar sound that I associate with gondolas in italy, and Maria was pretty good but it as slow, and I don't know what your looking for.

Metal_Head 02-03-2005 09:55 PM

rammstein!

RedBassGirl 02-08-2005 07:51 PM

ugh, rammstein... theres so many GOOD bands, why did that piece of %$^& get all the way to this half of the world? but well, thats only my opinion. from my dear and far away home country i can recomend:

Böhsen Onkelz
Toten Hosen
Die Ärzte
Nena, if youre into 80´s music (she´s the one with 99 Luftballons)
Blue Man Group (not my particular favourite)

And the following have been seen recently in the music charts:

Juli
Sido
Silbermond

BMG has no vocals. its all drums.

I am looking for German Metal Bands

Okey everyone please be kind, I am new to this board.

I am doing extensive research into German Music.

I am a HUGE Metal Head, but do enjoy other fourms of music.

I went to a search engine and this is one of many place's it sent me.

Although I didn't not get the results that I wanted. So I figured who to ask but a bunch of Human Music Lovers.

Now so far in my collection I of course have Rammestien, and I have a band called Oomph!, but would like to experience more.

Now like I said it does not have to be all Metal, Metal is perfered but I will appreciate any suggestions.

And I mean I wish them to sing in German as well.

Kinda like Dark Sanctuary, they sing in French and it's a gothic atmosphiric feel type music.

Well I look forward to seeing what everyone can suggest.

I do want to thank you all in advance for you suggestions.

I would say anything that is sung or played in Germany would be a good choice to research for

Hes very popular there though, did several sold out concerts.

Sodom
Kreator
Destruction
Tankard

Running Wild

Tankard released an album of German drinking songs that was unusual.
