Did it?! Wow, I never would have thought so. It wasnt a great album, and its not as if there was a huge craze for them.. Wierd.

So it sold 500,000 copies , thats hardly a whole country going mad over an album.

You got a thing about being wrong dont you Urban Hatemonger? No your right. Thats just the majority of the country going mad for them. Considering that not everyone in Britain likes rock compared to how many like R 'n' B etc and it still sold 500,000 copies, i'd consider that quite good.

never really cared much for velvet revolver. i have respect for slash, scott, and dave kushner, but contraband? meh- nothing special. personally i think the band woulda been better if they selected bach from skid row as their lead.

So now it`s gone from being 'a band taking over a country' to having 'quite good' record sales.

'Quite good'. Figure of speech. They could be a better band. And yeah to contradict myself I don't think having a platinum album makes you good, especially since it was a debut. People probably just flocked to buy it to hear Slash, and were probably dissapointed. Allot of people like it though surely.

I only liked three songs: Fall to Pieces, Loving the Alien and Slither. The others were piss poor.

I miss G 'n' R. I liked the way Slash an Axl used to compliment each other so well. Sweet Child O' Mine and Sympathy For The Devil, perfect examples. Bring back G 'n' R, thats what I say lol. Axl, Slash, Matt, Duff, Izzy, Dizzy. *Sighs* The good old days.
