Pantera is getting way too much love in this thread.

I don't mind hearing Pantera get so much praise on this board - they are an awesome band, with an imposing, brutal wall of sound to their music, with even some elements of groove and blues...
I remember being awoken by them once when i was staying with some cousins and some friends - most definitely an effective alarm clock sound, waking up to the Great Southern Trendkill...

Isis - Panopticon 2. Godflesh - Streetcleaner 3. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse 4. Death - Symbolic 5. Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse (Many others come very close) And..top 5 Nostalgia factor (some of you might consider this crap/wankery/whatever but ) 1. At the gates - The Red in the Sky Is Ours 2.
