Let's see...
I met Nils from Sleepytime Gorilla Museum briefly and he seemed like a pretty nice guy. I met the drummer from Dresden Dolls and he was really friendly. I met Dick Dale and he seemed nice but a little crazy. I met Honus or whatever he calls himself from Man-Man and he was fairly friendly but also fairly arrogant. I met Dick from Subhumans and he was cool but a little crusty in an old punk guy way. Plus he got me sick. I met Damon from the Swirlies and he was a complete docuhebag. I had a long conversation at a bar once with the drummer from Clockcleaner and he was friendly in kind of a weird way but also a pretty big dickhead at the same time. |

I met Sleepytime Gorilla Museum last April after their gig. Wicked cool people.
I met Kerry King when I was 14 and played him one of our ****ty high school demos. At least he was nice enough to listen to the whole thing. I met Kittie and Dino Cazares in Indianapolis. They were kind of stuck-up. I've met Mikael and Martin from Opeth a couple of times. Really nice dudes. But they're tour manager was a ****in' ****head I met Clutch a couple years ago. The organ player was really the only guy that hung out and had a couple beers with us. The rest of them just kind of sequestered themselves in the green room. I met Paul and Tommy from Between the Buried in Me in passing. I've talked to the guys from Dysrhythmia, Yakuza and Behold... the Arctopus. All really cool dudes. Also, me and my friends creeped out the guys from Behold... the Arctopus a couple years after the first time I met them. I've sat down and talked with Derek Roddy a couple years ago at his dad's house about 15 miles from where I live.

I met the Crumbsuckers many years ago, B.O.M.B era. Chuck Lenihan was a super cool bloke and made a real effort to hang out after the show
Martin Walkyier from Sabbat, hardly recognised him at first, didn't have much to say then and apparently is still hard work Billy Milano although seemingly nowadays lost in country music witnessed someone hassle a guy and grab his Suicidal Tendencies Hat in the background whilst i was chatting to him, he quite cooly intervened, grabbed some guys by the neck and returned the hat, came back over and took up the conversation The guys from Onslaught are fantastic company, esp Sy Keeler & Steve Grice. Steve joined us in a pub which was a quality night and we all exchanged contact info. Nige Rockett also keeps in touch occasionally. Gig was electric Had a night in the pub with the Pilgrimz after their set, Aage is a really nice guy and Max can drink like a fish as they say. It was a mental night and we still send the odd message back and forth Had a chat with Jack Delaney from Eyes of a Traitor when they supported Gojira, nice bloke although not a fan of his music Hoping to meet with Marc & Proven next year in Dublin for a few beers, haven't met yet but keep in touch by email. I'm privileged to hear new tracks from the studio as they are in recording at present Was really hoping to meet Freddy Cricien next month in Belfast but the promoter has messed up and looks like they won't be playing this time around, met a few others over the years, here and there, like many of you i have a few collectables and bits and bobs from a lifetime of enjoying music, gigs etc |

I met John and John from They Might Be Giants. My mom new the coordinator of the festival they played at so we got backstage passes. I also met R.E.M.'s manager about a year ago, who was an awesome guy. And maybe most notably, I met Brian May (from Queen) and got him to sign my Red Special replica. Nice! My mom also met Bono, and my friend met Lou Reed at the Joni Mitchell tribute concert a while ago, which I'm jealous of.
