Latest Hatebreed

Apologies if this topic is up somewhere, i can't find it

I'm getting a bit of stick for being super dissappointed in the new Hatebreed album. I think the latest material is awful although admittedly intricate and clever guitar work, just not the chunky punching riffs that made me like them in the first place many years ago

Perhaps if i heard this cd before anything else i might have liked it, i do try but i just keep hearing 80s hair metal snippets throughout which make me squirm from a band who made their mark with bone crushing heaviness

The instrumental could be off Death Magnetic for example. By saying this i recognise its a well written piece of music but i just can't bring myself to like it, it actually make me angry

Any other long term fans understand where i'm coming from?
