Punk or not? I dont know what i listen to!!! (hardcore, jazz)

Blink 182, All American Rejects, Taking back Sunday, Thrice, The Used, Boxcar Racer, The Ataris, The Salads, The Strokes, Fallout Boy.... Any of those types....

I need to know what they're considered. Apparently their not 'punk.'

But then... I don't really know what I listen to? I listen to lotsa different stuff.... but those bands in particular I have no idea what they're considered. People ask me what type of music i listen to... and I don't know what to say? I don't want to say punk, incase they mistake it for something else.... like the hardcore stuff.... but then what do i call it?

So confusing!! someone help?

And keep in mind, the adjective "pop" doesn't necessarily imply that you listen to Top 40 radio - there are plenty of underground Pop Punk bands (like Fancy Pants and the Cellphones). Thus, be proud, and embrace your Pop-Punkness. I wish you all the best.

- The Descendents (Blink 182 are great admirerers of them)
- Bob Hund (song: Istället för musik förvirring) [He's Swedish, but good]
- Cap'n Jazz
- Cub
- Fancy Pants and the Cellphones (google them, you'll find their site and some mp3s)
- Fugazi (song: Waiting Room)
- Goldfinger (songs: Here in Your Bedroom, Mable)
- Propagandhi (song: This Might Be Satire)

dudes u all got it wrong- the music suck my ass listens to is emo- not pop punk
and btw- u listen to awesome music man...
and btw again, goldfinger is also awesome...
