Not really, but I guess it could be percieved that way by how I worded it. I don't think that jazz drummers as a whole are any better then rock drummers. However there are some amazingly talented ones. In the second statement I was refering to the pioneers of jazz drumming, not just any generic jazz drummer.

What I should've said is that I think jazz drumming is more interesting to listen to than rock drumming. "Way better" were the wrong words to use, you could argue for hours about who's the best drummer and you'd never come out with a correct answer, because there is really no "best drummer ever." I like listening to jazz drumming more than I like listening to rock drumming, I'll stick with that as my statement on the matter.
