Eh, I know they like to take time with their releases to make them 'perfect' and quality or whatever, but it took sooooo long for 10,000 days to come out and it just wasn't up there for me. Their albums are taking longer to create and they seem to be deteriorating.

If you're looking for something to curb the shakes and sweats that accompany waiting for a new Tool release I would recommend checking out the band Rishloo. They kind of occupy the same space as Pineapple Thief, a band that manages to mimic the sound and style of another, better band, but does so in such a way that makes them quite listenable. I would recommend their 2007 album Eidolon, although I've heard good things about their 2004 album Terras Fames.

Thank you kind sir
Cool, I will check them out! Thanks!

10,000 Days wasn't quite as good as Ænima and Lateralus but I'm still wondering can they still pull off something impressive at this stage in their career. Hopefully they will release something late this year or early next year.

I'm with you Zer0. Somehow I don't think anything will be released late this year or early next. I actually heard an interview with Danny Carey on the radio and he said next year at the very EARLIEST (read: not next year).
