Hey hey dont misquote me, by no means am calling anything of theirs weak, I merely meant in my humble opinion Undertow is a 4.95/5 whereas the rest of their LP's are solid 5/5.

i rather like Tool, but i don't know why. i don't listen to any other kind of metal at all. most of the stuff i like is dreamy and electronic. but Tool just has this certain appeal that i can't stay away from. very nice music indeed.

Very nice. I think my favorite has to be Lateralus, though. Aenima is not far behind, though.

Petula, those are definitely my most favorite two Tool albums as well! Lateralus and Aenema are definite high points in the band's output so far...

I completely agree. It's definitely their most progressive stage. Their earlier stuff is very angry and hostile, but I loved it, too. Even 10,000 Days is more spiritual than their earlier work. I wouldn't mind seeing them turning it up a little bit. Though all their albums are pretty heavy, I miss the straight-up angry stuff. I want loudness and screaming. I'm pretty spiritual and enjoy the softer side of Maynard's voice, but it's just not quite the same. He is overrated, anyway. The mastermind behind Tool is Adam Jones. It's all very apparent in the Revolver Magazine's Tool edition interview.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

A bit more of the loud screamy stuff would definitely do no harm to their sound...

Somehow I like 10,000 Days more than Undertow. I don't need so angry music. I mean Undertow isn't bad but probably I will be more in mood for 10,000 days.
Aenima is the best for me because it's not so angry like Undertow but it has still some angry mood Lateralus is sooo great too.
I love both albums but don't have yet some favourite tracks...

So may I have a question for you here? What's your top 5 songs by Tool?
